In 1999, Dr Heyman and Dr Taxman co-founded the Institute for Women and Children's Health. Their mission was to create a multidimensional health care facility to provide the environment, knowledge, and tools to assist patients' in identifying the underlying causes specific to pediatric gastrointestinal and women's health issues. 

 

Today, the Institute, still family owned and operated as a unique medical model. It has been renamed Cleveland Health Institute with the belief that in order to support optimal health, you must support all aspects of a patients' well being.

Their goal is to help guide patients to informed decisions and support the changes necessary to achieve and maintain a state of optimal health. As a specialty clinic, the Institute networks and coordinates care for their patients to provide a full spectrum of services from supportive maintenance to interventional procedures.
